Defining Your Dream

Dreams and desires are sometimes not always apparent.

You’ve been wanting something, really wanting it, but you have no idea what it is.

How can a person get “there” if they don’t have a clue where “there” is?

You are in good company. Not only are there who-knows-how-many individuals in the same boat, but there are who-knows-how-many businesses in that boat as well.

How do I know that businesses are in the same boat?

Businesses want me to help them get software developed for them, but they don’t know exactly what they want.

They want to make SOMETHING better. But what does better mean for them?

What does it mean for YOU, as an individual?

There’s a way to figure that out.

How do I know? I’ve worked with this specific situation both with business partners and with clients for going on two decades to flesh out exactly what that person (or organization) is hungry to achieve.

We begin by creating a story of what we want and don’t want.

We brainstorm. We use visualization techniques.

We take histories.

We create stories and story boards and little story snippets. We look at what we DON’T want.

Then, we bring to light the treasure hidden below the surface.

We create lists and prioritize.

We make (conceptual) models. We draw pictures. We make spreadsheets.

We poke at large areas of life and business and figure out “is the treasure HERE?”.

We may be wild, crazy, and creative; or we may follow a linear, systematic approach.

We may do one or two or all or none of that.

And, yes – I am talking about business as well as personal coaching!

Coaching helps you identify your dreams and desires.

The key point is that you really don’t have to figure out your dream in order to come to coaching.

There are proven techniques to get to the heart of what you really want.

And then? Let’s go for it!

Think of how it is going to feel to at LAST be clear on what you really want.

And think of how it is going to feel to be on the way to getting it!

Don’t leave this dream to chance.
