Dreams turned into reality can lead to life-changing events.
Think for a moment of the amazing things that people have created… things that almost defied what’s possible.
How crazy was it to get to the moon in the 60s? I mean, REALLY.
3-D printers – didn’t see that coming. Mapping the human genome? A manned flight to Mars? Well, we haven’t done that yet, but give it time.
There are hundreds of Olympic achievements, unbelievable scientific and scholastic achievements – that no one ever expected.
How did all of this happen?
It’s about having a dream and making it come true.
All the above discoveries and creations started with a wild and crazy dream that eventually came true.
People have been using the same method for millennia.
Turning a dream into reality requires three ingredients.
First, it takes managing the goal with proven project management techniques.
Second, it takes creativity and resourcefulness – both in the way the goal is approached, as well as the way in which we handle it when things get off track (which they tend to do from time to time).
Finally, it takes coaching, mentoring, and collaboration. Think of all the book forewords you’ve ever read! No one gets there by themselves.
So, to turn your dream into a reality, you need an experienced project manager (so you don’t have to worry about that part) and an experienced coach – one with a track record in making things happen.
Dream Coaching can help overcome persistent problems.
Susan had struggled with weight loss for years. She finally decided to get a project manager and a coach. She has been 100 pounds down for over 10 years.
Dream Coaching helps provide a clear vision about happiness and success.
Richard was exhausted. His high-powered work was his life, and he was running on fumes. He wanted to make a major lifestyle change.
Richard and I talked about what that would look like… how would success be defined… what vision would pull him forward.
His changes were unbelievable! He changed cities; careers; and embraced the artistic, casual, almost bohemian lifestyle that he’d dreamed of for years.
This wouldn’t work for everyone, but it absolutely worked for Richard and has given him happiness for years as well.
Dream Coaching helps you overcome doubts.
Debra wanted to keep her high-powered job, but she had this dream of a side gig about which everyone laughed at.
She wanted to own and operate a small, nature-oriented amusement park.
How could something like this possibly be successful?
Ask Debra. She made it happen.
Coaching helps accomplish dreams, small and large.
I’ve had other clients write their first novel, nail their career certifications, become savvy at office politics, and get the education they’ve been putting off.
It may be re-discovering what the surface of your dining room table looked like and how good it felt to get papers into a simple organizational system.
Realizing a dream starts with a vision.
This process usually starts with creative visioning of what you are seeking.
We want to clearly and specifically capture what it is you want.
It’s so easy to completely miss your dream, because you’ve been too vague in describing it.
And how can a vague dream energize you and pull you forward? It can’t.
Accomplishing a dream requires management.
Once the vision is captured, we then determine what kind of project management your dream requires.
Sometimes it takes an in-depth project plan, with detailed gap analysis, a solid risk analysis, resource identification, and setting of milestones.
Sometimes it takes a set of sticky notes on a little white board that we move from one column to another.
Or… something else entirely.
That partly depends on you. Some absolutely thrive on detailed planning and are stressed with too little. Others are the opposite.
Level of management is related to complexity of your dream.
In addition to your desires, the level of management depends on how complex your dream is.
Fortunately, I’ve managed dreams and projects of all shapes and sizes, with a variety of project management techniques, and we can land at exactly what is going to work best for you.
When we launch your journey to your dream, I will be there with you – each step of the way. This is often where we start discovering what’s been stopping you, because it generally will leap onto your path – roar and beat its chest.
It’s time to make that dream a reality.
This is the best thing that can happen for your dream.
You’ve got an experienced coach now. It’s not going to stop you this time. We can handle this.
If we can, we’ll figure out how to make this challenge into one of your assets. If not, we’ll figure out how to manage it.
Once we get through these, you will know how to manage the things that used to stop you. This alone is something that will be a huge asset to you.
Then we will get there!
Depending on the size of your dream, we may carve out a doable “chunk” that can be a successful foundation to build on.
Or we may go for the whole thing.
Think of how it’s going to feel to be there at last, celebrating this victory!
Don’t leave this dream to chance.
